Installation

cd /opt
git clone git://github.com/JuliaLang/julia.git
cd julia
make

Updating Julia

cd /opt/julia
git pull origin master
make clean
make

Plot

  • # Turn XMing on (Windows) if running gnuplot on a remote linux server via ssh shell.
  • Using the Winston package:


# https://github.com/nolta/Winston.jl
Pkg.add("Winston")
# Test.
using Winston
x = [-pi:0.01:pi]
plot(x, sin(x))


  • Install gnuplot.


# Already installed.
yum install cairo pango wxGTK
cd /opt
wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/gnuplot/files/gnuplot/4.6.2/gnuplot-4.6.2.tar.gz/download
cd gnuplot-4.6.2
./configure
make
make install
# Test. Don't change working directory.
gnuplot

Issues

gfortran: Command not found

Error running make:

Solution:

yum install gcc-gfortran
